Bridges Across Europe: Discoveries, Dialogues, and Ideas in Motion Exploring together AI ethics, sustainability, and European cooperation

An international hybrid dissemination event hosted by IC Bassa Sabina (Italy) to celebrate the 10th edition of the ErasmusDays (October 13th-18th, 2026) under the official tagline: “Learning and growing: skills for tomorrow”.

The initiative celebrates the successes of Erasmus+ and promotes active European citizenship, deeply rooted in core EU values like human dignity, democracy, equality, and human rights. Every day of the event will feature dedicated sessions for students alongside professional webinar training and workshops for teachers:

● For Students (including Workshops, AI Debates, Gamification & Collaborative Projects): Through both online and in-presence activities, students aged 10 to 14 will engage in interactive gaming, practical workshops, and gamification activities (such as digital escape rooms) to break cultural barriers, get to know our partners, and prepare for future mobilities. Key activities will feature a student
debate on Artificial Intelligence, addressing the European AI Act (the world’s first comprehensive AI regulation) alongside the new Italian AI Law (Legge n. 132/2025) to foster critical thinking around digital ethics and safety. For the schools participating in presence, a special outdoor Treasure Hunt in Poggio Mirteto will be organized to discover our local town, experience its history first-hand, and share a delightful cultural and culinary exchange. Students will also present the collaborative outcomes of our eTwinning projects on the ESEP platform—including the “Virtual Green Deal Museum”, the Spotify podcast “Mind has no gender”, the comic e-book “Green School Solution”, and the coding project “Ada Lovelace: Additional Machine”—and participate in multilingual conversation sessions, social media challenges, and photo exhibitions.

● For Teachers (including Workshops, Transnational Inclusion & AI Ethics Debate): Daily professional webinar and workshop sessions will be provided for teachers, focusing on shared reflections regarding
curricular integration, inclusive methodologies, active learning, and innovative teaching strategies to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN/BES). This will feature an in-depth
comparative look at the Italian Inclusion Framework (L. 104/92) versus the integration systems of our European partner countries, as well as a dedicated discussion and debate on AI ethics, exploring both the pedagogical opportunities and ethical implications of artificial intelligence in education.

● With Experts & Institutions: On selected days, the event will host panel discussions featuring external experts and institutional representatives to address crucial themes such as environmental
sustainability, active citizenship, and legality. Concurrently, coordinators, school representatives, and teachers will use these joint sessions to share best practices on innovative methodologies
(STEAM, AI literacy, creative coding) and discuss future European partnerships, aligning our long-term educational strategies with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 4, 5, 10, 13) and the Erasmus+ quality standards.
