Blood Donation Event

Blood donation is a wonderful example of solidarity, humanity and active citizenship – values that bring people together across Europe. As part of Erasmus Day, our school is organizing a blood donation event to encourage people to help others and to raise awareness of the importance of voluntary blood donation.
Programme and organization of the event:
• Registration of participants: arrival of donors, registration and basic organizational information.
• Health screening: qualified medical staff will assess whether participants meet the requirements for blood donation.
• Blood donation: the blood collection will take place under the supervision of qualified medical professionals.
• Refreshments and rest: refreshments and a resting area will be provided for donors after the donation.
• Erasmus Day activities: participants will have the opportunity to learn more about the Erasmus+ programme, student mobility opportunities and the international activities of our school.
Blood collection will be organized by the National Transfusion Service of the Slovak Republic – Poprad workplace, which will provide qualified medical staff, health screening of donors and the blood collection itself.
The event is open to students and staff of the school, as well as members of the general public from the surrounding community. Everyone who meets the health requirements for blood donation is welcome to participate voluntarily.
Together, we want to show that European values are not only about cooperation between countries, but also about solidarity, helping others and taking responsibility for our community. Every donor can make a real difference and help save a human life.
