Belgian Waffle Workshop

As part of ErasmusDays, the “Belgian Waffle Workshop” will be organized within the framework of the Balıkesir Provincial Directorate of National Education Erasmus+ Vocational Education Long-Term Internship Activity to allow our students who completed their gastronomy internship in Belgium to share their professional and cultural experiences with other students. At the beginning of the activity, the students will give a short presentation about their internship experience in Belgium, the workplace environment, the professional skills they developed, Belgian cuisine, and waffle culture. Then, they will demonstrate how to prepare Belgian waffles and actively involve other students in the process. During the practical session, students will learn about the preparation and presentation of waffles and experience serving them with different toppings. The students who completed their internship will share the professional knowledge and practical skills they gained during their mobility. At the end of the activity, the waffles will be tasted together, followed by a short question-and-answer session where students can ask about the internship experience in Belgium. Through this activity, students will discover Belgian culture and gastronomy, gain professional knowledge through peer learning, improve their communication skills, and learn about the learning opportunities offered by Erasmus+ vocational mobility directly from students who have experienced them.
