As part of Erasmus Days 2026, the Directorate of Primary Education of Heraklion celebrates European cooperation, environmental awareness, and educational innovation through the AQUA MIND project (Erasmus+ KA210-SCH), which brings together educational institutions from Serbia, Croatia, Greece, and Portugal. The event aims to highlight the importance of environmental protection, water conservation, and marine biodiversity, with particular emphasis on Sustainable Development Goal 14 (SDG 14) – Life Below Water. Through creative, experiential, and collaborative activities, the project promotes the connection between mindfulness and environmental education, encouraging young children to develop respect, empathy, and responsibility towards nature. A special highlight of the event is the visit to Rodomilia Private Kindergarten, where participants will join the school’s Erasmus Days activities, learn about its European projects, and explore its innovative water-management and water-education programmes. This visit will provide a valuable opportunity for teachers and educational partners to exchange good practices, share experiences, and strengthen cooperation within the European educational community. By bringing together children, educators, and schools, the event promotes inclusion, sustainability, and active European citizenship, inspiring everyone to contribute to a healthier and more sustainable planet. Together, through small actions, we can make a big difference for our blue planet!
