Erasmus Days represent the European celebration of education, mobility, and cooperation. Created to celebrate the achievements of the Erasmus+ program, these days are a special opportunity to make the heart of Europe beat as one in our schools, breaking down borders and opening minds to new cultures. Participating in Erasmus Days means recognizing that traveling and studying abroad is not just about discovering new places, but about transforming the way we see the world: learning new languages, making friendships without borders, and discovering the richness of diversity. This project stems from this spirit: through the voices of those who have already took part in the previous mobilities and the creativity of those preparing to do so, our class will undertake a symbolic journey to understand what it truly means to be a European citizen.

I.C. Manzoni-Dolci (Priolo Gargallo) has chosen to hold its Erasmus Days on October 15. Below is the structure of the event:
Phase 1: Video Screening (30 minutes)
A screening gathering all mobility and eTwinning activities from the past school year, featuring video testimonials from students and teachers.
Phase 2: Workshop – “The Suitcase of Dreams” (90 minutes)
Working in small groups, students will create a “Suitcase of Dreams” (on poster board), inserting elements from current partner countries (e.g., Spain, France, Hungary):
Culture & Symbols: Drawings, cutout/printed pictures (e.g., monuments, typical food, local traditions).
Phase 3: Final Presentation & Sharing
Students will explain the elements included in their suitcases.
The finished works will be exhibited in common areas of the school and posted on the school’s official social media channels and website to celebrate the event.
