A Journey Through Europe

As part of ErasmusDays 2026, Karamürsel Atatürk Secondary School will organise an interactive educational activity entitled “A Journey Through Europe” to celebrate Europe’s rich cultural and linguistic diversity.

During the activity, students will explore different European countries through a creative matching task. They will receive mixed-up cards featuring country names, national flags, capital cities and ways of saying “Hello” in different European languages. Students will identify the correct connections, match the cards and arrange them on individual worksheets, creating colourful representations of European countries.

Following the classroom activity, a special ErasmusDays display board will be prepared in the school corridor to showcase the students’ work. This exhibition will allow the wider school community to discover European countries, recognise their flags and capitals, and explore greetings in different languages. In this way, the learning experience will extend beyond the classroom and become a shared celebration of Europe’s diversity.

Through this hands-on activity and school-wide exhibition, students will develop their geographical knowledge, language awareness and intercultural understanding while discovering both the differences and connections among European countries.

The event will aim to foster curiosity, mutual respect, cultural awareness and international understanding, reflecting the Erasmus+ values of diversity, inclusion, cooperation and learning beyond borders.
