“Together, We Build a Better Europe!”
1. “Travelling Across Europe” – A European Adventure
Children embark on an exciting journey across Europe, discovering different European countries through maps, flags, pictures, traditional music and other cultural elements. They learn about the diversity of European cultures, traditions and languages in an age-appropriate and engaging way. The activity encourages curiosity, openness, respect for cultural differences and a sense of belonging to the European community
2. “The Friendship Tree” – A Collective Artwork Activity
Children work together to create a colourful Friendship Tree, using their handprints, drawings, leaves or other decorative elements to express friendship, kindness, cooperation and unity. Each child contributes an individual element to the collective artwork, illustrating how every person matters and how differences make a community richer and stronger.
3. “Hello, Europe!” – Greetings Across Languages
Children discover how to greet one another in several European languages, learning simple expressions such as “Hello!”, “Bonjour!”, “Hola!”, “Ciao!”, “Olá!” and “Bok!”. They associate each greeting with the corresponding country’s flag and practise pronunciation through playful activities, songs and role-play. The activity promotes linguistic awareness, intercultural communication, curiosity about other languages and respect for cultural diversity.
4. “Europe Through Children’s Eyes” – An Erasmus Days Exhibition
Children express their ideas about Europe through drawings, paintings, collages and other creative works inspired by friendship, peace, diversity, cooperation and European values. Their colourful creations are brought together in an exhibition that celebrates children’s creativity and highlights the importance of building an inclusive, peaceful and united Europe from an early age.
5. “A Heart for Europe” – Messages of Friendship
Each child decorates a heart and add a symbol or short message expressing friendship, kindness, peace and solidarity towards children from other European countries. The hearts are combined into a shared collection of positive messages, showing that friendship and understanding can bring children together beyond linguistic and cultural differences.
6. “RESPECT for the Children of Europe” – A Collaborative Display for the Kindergarten’s Erasmus Corner
Children from all participating groups work together to create a large collaborative poster inspired by our Erasmus+ project, RESPECT – Resilience, Empathy, Safety, Prevention, Cooperation, Together. Each group creates a different section of the poster, illustrating one or more project values. At the end, all the individual contributions are assembled into one collective artwork, symbolising unity, friendship, teamwork and the power of cooperation.
