Testimonies

As part of Erasmus Days 2026, Școala Gimnazială Vulcan, Romania, is sharing a Good Practice Guide on Inclusive Education in European Schools, developed following an Erasmus+ job-shadowing mobility in Montescaglioso and Pomarico, Italy, from 9 to 13 March 2026.

Created by teacher Maria Magdalena Doda, the guide highlights inspiring approaches to inclusive education observed in Italian schools, including differentiated teaching, individualized learning plans, cooperation between classroom teachers and support teachers, STEM activities, digital tools, and the use of art and music to encourage every child’s participation.

The guide also explores the importance of school–family collaboration, intercultural learning, and the educational value of local cultural heritage, inspired by a visit to Sassi di Matera.

By publishing and sharing this resource, we aim to disseminate Erasmus+ learning outcomes, inspire fellow educators, and encourage the transfer of European good practices into our own classrooms.

Our message is simple: Inclusive education means creating a school where every child belongs, participates, and has the opportunity to succeed.
