Our school proudly presents the outcomes of our Erasmus+ project titled “Opening Our Doors to Europe”. This event showcases the journeys of 24 students who attended school classes and cultural programmes in Granada (Spain) and Katerini (Greece). Through student presentations, we will highlight how the project fostered language skills, environmental awareness, and European citizenship.
The aim of our event is to widely share the impact of the Erasmus+ programme and demonstrate how our core project goals were achieved during the mobilities to Granada and Katerini (with 12 participants per group).
During their stay, the students actively participated in regular school lessons at the host institutions and engaged in rich cultural activities. Through interactive presentations, personal testimonies, and a photo exhibition, the event will address the following key objectives:
• International Cooperation and Language Learning: Enhancing foreign language competences through immersive school class participation and real-world communication.
• Combating Early School Leaving: Reducing school failure and boosting student motivation through non-formal and international learning experiences.
• Environmental Awareness & Sustainability: Shaping eco-friendly attitudes and introducing the environmental conditions necessary for sustainable development to prevent environmental crises.
• European Identity & Values: Celebrating our common European heritage, promoting diversity through cultural immersion, and raising awareness of social inclusion.
• Bridging Differences: Overcoming cultural, generational, and social gaps through intercultural dialogue.
We warmly welcome students, parents, and educators to join us!
Title: Opening Our Doors to Europe – Erasmus+ Mobility Experience and Dissemination Days
Short Description:
Our school proudly presents the strategic outcomes of our Erasmus+ project titled “Opening Our Doors to Europe”. This two-day dissemination event showcases the journeys of 24 students who attended school classes and cultural programmes in Granada (Spain) and Katerini (Greece). Through interactive workshops and a digital exhibition, we highlight how the project successfully fostered language learning, environmental sustainability, social inclusion, and active European citizenship.
Full Description:
The aim of our two-day event is to widely share the impact of the Erasmus+ programme, ensure project sustainability, and demonstrate how our core objectives were achieved during the group mobilities to Spain and Greece (with 12 participants per group).
Running continuously in the school’s Main Hall (Aula), a Digital Photo Exhibition will showcase the students’ academic and cultural integration, complemented by traditional Spanish and Greek sports activities during Physical Education classes.
The structured program consists of the following key blocks:
DAY 1: Thursday – Travel Testimonies & Sustainability
• Opening Ceremony & Long Break (09:40 – 09:55): Cultural activation with a traditional Greek dance workshop led by the participants in the Main Hall.
• Block I (12:45 – 13:30): Multimedia presentations by both mobility groups in the Assembly Hall, focusing on foreign language immersion and the European educational landscape. To ensure long-term institutional impact, the school will formally announce the launch of the Erasmus+ Student Mentor Network, where the 24 participants will act as peer mentors to prepare future mobility candidates.
DAY 2: Friday – Immersive Workshops & Quality Validation
• Long Break (09:40 – 09:55): Cultural immersion with an upbeat Spanish dance workshop in the Main Hall.
• Block II (11:50 – 13:30): Academic and thematic dissemination workshops in separate classrooms:
• “Green Europe” Workshop: Disseminating eco-friendly practices observed abroad, an eco-quiz, and strategic brainstorming to combat the climate crisis at a local level.
• “Bridging Cultures” Workshop: Interactive language games and focus group discussions on social inclusion, diversity, and how international learning combats early school leaving.
• Digital Impact Assessment: Before closing, all attendees will complete a QR-code-based feedback form to measure the quantitative and qualitative impact of the event.
• Official Closing & Recognition (13:15 – 13:30): To validate the skills and competencies gained abroad, the School Principal will formally hand over the Europass Mobility Documents to the 24 participants, followed by an informal European networking café featuring local Spanish and Greek snacks.
