Osmansin Secondary School
As part of our Erasmus+ project “From Forest to Future”, our students created a permanent Erasmus+ project and information corner at the entrance of the school to make project activities more visible, share learning outcomes and raise awareness within the school community.
The display brought together the results of previous nature-based STEM activities, including planting and observing a chestnut sapling, collecting and comparing different leaves, measuring tree trunks and preparing project diaries. Students selected and organised photographs, measurement results, observation records, drawings and other learning products so that the progress of the project could be presented clearly and meaningfully.
During the preparation process, students worked together to decide which materials should be displayed, how information should be organised and how the area could communicate the project effectively. In this way, they transformed observation, measurement and comparison results into visual learning products and developed skills in organising information, presentation, communication, creativity and teamwork.
A table was also placed in front of the display board and used as an Erasmus+ information stand. ErasmusDays materials, school-specific stickers, visual promotional items and Erasmus+ information cards were placed on the table so that students, parents and visitors could interact with the project more easily.
Because the corner is located at the school entrance, it attracts the attention of students, teachers, parents and visitors and makes it easier to explain the activities carried out within the project. By presenting all project activities in one place, the corner supports the visibility and dissemination of Erasmus+ activities beyond the group of students directly involved.
The area is designed to remain in use after ErasmusDays and to be continuously updated with new student work, activities and project outputs. In this way, it will serve as a living Erasmus+ project space and contribute to making environmental sustainability, nature-based STEM learning and international education opportunities a visible part of school life.
Through this activity, students developed skills in visual communication, organising information, presentation, creativity, teamwork, shared responsibility and dissemination of project results, while strengthening their sense of ownership and active participation in the “From Forest to Future” project.
