Say Hello in Europe – Our School Says Hello

Our second-grade students will discover how children say hello in different European languages through a fun and communicative activity called “Say Hello in Europe”.
Students will learn and practise simple greetings from different European countries and discover that people can use different languages to express the same friendly message.
They will practise greetings such as “Hello”, “Hola”, “Bonjour”, “Ciao” and “Hallo” and work together to prepare a short school video showing their European greetings.
The activity aims to develop students’ awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity while encouraging simple English communication, confidence and respect for different languages and cultures.
As a final product, students will create an “Our School Says Hello” video featuring greetings in different European languages.
One school, many languages, one big hello to Europe!
