EmpowHer for Safe Communities – Youth Voices for Equality and Women’s Safety

EmpowHer for Safe Communities – Youth Voices for Equality and Women’s Safety is a local civic engagement and awareness action connected to the Erasmus+ project EmpowHer – Inspire, Mobilize, Transform! (2025-1-RO01-KA210-YOU-000365556), coordinated by ACEEP.
The action takes place in Timișoara within the public initiative “Împreună pentru siguranța femeilor” / “Together for Women’s Safety”, bringing together civil society organisations, young people, professionals and members of the local community around a shared message: gender equality, dignity and safety are fundamental rights and collective responsibilities.
Through its participation, EmpowHer connects the European learning dimension of the project with concrete civic engagement at local level. The project promotes the capacity of youth workers and young people to recognise and challenge gender stereotypes, discrimination, unequal power relations and barriers to participation, while encouraging inclusive communication, solidarity and responsible community action.
The event also provides an opportunity to make the EmpowHer project and its Erasmus+ learning pathway visible to a wider public, including the practical Guide developed by the partnership, the international Training Course implemented in Messina and the project’s work on gender-sensitive and inclusive youth work.
EmpowHer participation in the event reflects the values promoted through Erasmus+: equality, inclusion, human dignity, active citizenship, participation and European cooperation.
The action is implemented by Asociația SPICC &ACEEP -Asociația Centrul de Excelență în Educația Permanentă, in connection with the wider public event organised in Timișoara by organisations involved in the Rețeaua VIF and local civil-society partners.
