Your Voice. Your Choice. Your School. – Democracy in Action

As part of Erasmus Days 2026, American Elementary School in Gdynia, Poland, is organising a Student Council Presidential Debate under the slogan “Your Voice. Your Choice. Your School.”

The event directly supports one of the key objectives of our Erasmus+ Accreditation Plan: developing active citizenship, democratic awareness and meaningful student participation in school life.

During the debate, candidates for Student Council President will present their programmes, discuss their ideas for improving school life and answer questions from the student community.

The event will provide students with a practical experience of democracy, encouraging them to think critically, express their opinions, engage in respectful dialogue and make informed electoral decisions.

By connecting democratic values with everyday school life, we aim to empower young people to recognise that their voices matter and that they can actively shape their school community.

Democracy is not just something we learn about – it is something we practise!
