Beyond Borders with Erasmus+ BIP: ınternational Collaboration and Experience Sharing in Higher Education

As part of Erasmus Days 2026, the Faculty of Architecture at Dokuz Eylül University is organizing an event dedicated to international academic collaboration and innovative learning experiences through Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs).
Drawing on the experience of the Erasmus+ BIP project entitled “From Ruins to Urban Voids: Roman Agora as a Cultural Interface,” hosted by our Faculty, the event will explore the development of international partnerships, the planning and implementation of BIP activities, and the opportunities and benefits these programmes offer to both academic staff and students.
Prof. Dr. Hümeyra Birol will share insights and practical experiences from the project, highlighting the potential of BIPs to foster international cooperation, interdisciplinary learning, and collaborative educational practices.
The event aims to encourage the development of new BIP initiatives and raise awareness of international learning and mobility opportunities within higher education.
