Event Description: As part of Erasmus Days 2026, İTÜ Development Foundation Schools Private Dr. Sedat Üründül Kindergarten will organize an educational and cultural event for children aged 3–6, focusing on European countries, cultural diversity and friendship. The event will provide children with opportunities to discover European cultures through hands-on activities, creative experiences and interactive learning stations.
European Culinary Workshop: Children will participate in a hands-on culinary workshop inspired by traditional foods from different European countries. They will prepare and shape simple dough-based foods, such as Swedish cinnamon rolls, German pretzels and French cookies, with the guidance of their teachers. Through these activities, children will explore different food traditions while developing their fine motor skills, creativity and cooperation.
Exhibition of European Cultural Objects: An exhibition featuring objects, photographs, traditional patterns, flags and cultural symbols from various European countries will be organized. Children will have the opportunity to discover similarities and differences between cultures and learn about European countries in an age-appropriate and engaging way.
Interactive European Learning Stations: A series of interactive learning stations will be set up to encourage children to explore European countries through play and creative activities. These stations will include flag colouring, country-themed puzzles, matching games, art activities and visual recognition tasks. Children will develop their curiosity, problem-solving skills and cultural awareness while learning through exploration and collaboration.
Online Musical Meeting with Our eTwinning Partner Schools: As part of Erasmus Days 2026, our preschool children aged 3–6 will meet online with children from our eTwinning partner schools in different European countries. During this virtual gathering, each school will introduce its own language by singing a familiar children’s song in its mother tongue. The children will have the opportunity to listen to different languages, discover cultural similarities and differences, and enjoy sharing music with their European peers.
