Day, Four Countries

Our kindergarten, an accredited Erasmus+ organisation, celebrates Erasmus Days with “A Day, Four Countries” — a morning event where preschoolers travel through four themed corners inspired by our teachers’ Erasmus+ mobilities in Greece, Spain, Portugal, and Italy. At the Greek corner, children craft an olive-leaf wreath together with their parents. At the Spanish corner, they play the observation game “I See, I Feel, I Imagine” and finger-paint a flamenco dress or toreador shirt. At the Italian corner, fathers join their children to build a toy car, just as Father’s Day is celebrated in Italian kindergartens, and sing an Italian tidy-up song. At the Portuguese corner, children create a collective collage, “Colourful Sardines”, gluing hand-painted mandala sardines onto a giant Portuguese flag. The day closes with traditional tastings, a “Little European Explorer” diploma for every child, and an original song, “Erasmus Brings Us Together”, written by our mobility teachers.
