Touch of Hope – From Milan to Leskovac

As part of Erasmus Days 2026, Medical School Leskovac will organise “Touch of Hope – From Milan to Leskovac” at the Institution for Adults and Older People “Leskovac”. The event will bring the experience and learning outcomes of our Erasmus+ KA122-VET project “Touch of Hope” back to the local community.

Twelve students who participated in a VET mobility in Milan will share what they learned about geriatric care, professional communication, dignity and respect for older people, safe mobility and fall prevention, hydration, teamwork and person-centred care. Through short presentations, practical demonstrations, conversations and interactive activities, students will actively involve older residents and exchange experiences with the institution’s care professionals.

The event will create a meaningful link between Erasmus+ mobility and local practice, allowing students to transfer their newly acquired knowledge and skills while promoting intergenerational dialogue, empathy and respect for older people. It will also provide an opportunity to share the results and experiences of the “Touch of Hope” project with the wider local community.**
