Meet Our School, Meet Europe! 🇪🇺

As part of ErasmusDays 2026, pupils from CEIP María Maroto in Murcia (Spain), Muire Gan Smál Primary School (Ireland), Tärnsjö Skola (Sweden) and Lasnamäe Gümnaasium (Estonia) will take part in a shared European activity called “Meet Our School, Meet Europe!”

The children in each country will prepare a short presentation introducing their school to their European partners. They will use English to talk about their classrooms, subjects, teachers, school facilities, daily routines and favourite things about school, giving their partners a glimpse into their everyday school life.

The presentations will be recorded and include subtitles in English, helping pupils to practise their speaking and writing skills as well as develop their digital competence. Once they are ready, the four schools will exchange their presentations so that children can discover and compare school life in Spain, Ireland, Sweden and Estonia.

After watching their partners’ presentations, pupils will prepare questions and topics they would like to find out more about. The schools will then come together in virtual meetings, giving the children the chance to meet one another, ask their questions and chat about the similarities and differences they have spotted.

The activity will turn English into a real means of communication, rather than simply a classroom subject, whilst giving pupils the opportunity to connect with children of a similar age across Europe.

“Meet Our School, Meet Europe!” will celebrate linguistic and cultural diversity, encourage curiosity about other European countries and help create new links between pupils and schools across Europe.
