Europe in Our Classroom – Erasmus Open Day

Pupils and teachers of Școala Gimnazială Sat Rusănești, a rural school in Vâlcea County, open their classrooms to parents, local authorities and the community for an Erasmus Open Day. The programme includes: a mini-exhibition of products from our eTwinning and Erasmus+ projects (posters, postcards, digital stories); short English and French presentations by pupils about the European partner countries; a “European quiz” and intercultural games for pupils from kindergarten to lower-secondary level; and a presentation for teachers and parents on Erasmus+ opportunities for school education, including mobility and cooperation projects. The activity aims to bring the European dimension to a small rural community, to raise awareness of the benefits of Erasmus+ and to motivate pupils to learn languages and take part in international projects.
