Erasmus+ in the Community – Together for Our Village

This activity is part of the transfer and valorisation activities of the Erasmus+ project “A New Start for Rural Communities in Dâmbovița County” and aims to bring the learning experience gained through the project directly into the local community.
A group of project beneficiaries will organise an activity with elderly people from the local community, putting into practice the methods and competences developed through the Erasmus+ training activities and mobilities.
The activity will focus on intergenerational dialogue and civic engagement. Participants will talk with elderly people about their community, its needs and challenges, the changes they would like to see, and the ways in which every member of the community can contribute to its well-being.
The meeting will value the life experience and knowledge of older members of the community while encouraging the project beneficiaries to see civic engagement not simply as a one-off activity, but as a responsibility and a way of belonging to the community.
The activity directly contributes to the project objective of increasing the level of civic engagement of adults in rural communities in Dâmbovița County.
“What we learn through Erasmus+ does not stay in the project. We bring it back to the community.”
