Erasmus+ Opportunities for VET Students: Your Future Starts in Europe
R. Dr. Mário Soares, Pias, Portugal
Agrupamento de Escolas de Lousada
During ErasmusDays, the European Projects Club of Agrupamento de Escolas de Lousada (Portugal) will hold three information sessions for students in vocational education and training (VET) programmes, on 13, 14 and 15 October 2026.
The sessions present the mobility opportunities available under our Erasmus+ VET Accreditation: group mobilities, short-term work placements (about 30 days) and long-term ErasmusPro placements (3 months) with European partner organisations. Students will learn how the selection process works, what support the programme gives (including extra support for students with fewer opportunities) and which skills they can develop abroad, such as communication, adaptability, problem-solving and foreign languages.
A group of Slovenian teachers who are visiting our school at the moment will also join the sessions. They will talk with our students about their country, their schools and what it means to be part of the Erasmus+ community. This gives students a real European experience before they even leave home.
The sessions open the application period for participants in the 2026 call and for the places still available in the 2025 call. Photos will be taken during the sessions and shared on our school channels to promote Erasmus+ in our community.
In line with this year’s theme, “Learning and growing: skills for tomorrow”, the goal is to help young people gain the skills, confidence and international experience they need for the European job market.
