Meeting Presentation

“EUROPE STARTS HERE – Skills, Opportunities and New Perspectives” is an Erasmus Days 2026 event organised by ITI Galileo Ferraris – Napoli to promote the European dimension of education and to introduce students, teachers and staff to the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ Programme.
The event will be an opportunity to reflect on the importance of developing skills for the future through international cooperation, cultural exchange and innovative learning experiences. Particular attention will be given to inclusion, digital education, environmental sustainability, active citizenship and the development of professional skills in a European context.
A dedicated session will focus on past European and international experiences, with testimonials from students and staff who have already taken part in mobility, cooperation or international learning activities. Their experiences will offer participants a direct insight into the educational, professional and personal value of studying, training and cooperating in an international environment.
The event will also present the Institute’s future European perspective, highlighting the strategic importance of future Erasmus+ accreditations in strengthening international mobility, cooperation and learning opportunities.
Particular attention will be given to the potential contribution of Erasmus+ to the Institute’s experimental 4+2 technological and vocational pathway in Cybersecurity and Big Data, a highly innovative educational programme designed to strengthen advanced digital competences and create closer links between school education, higher technological training, companies and the European labour market.
In this context, future Erasmus+ accreditations could provide an important framework for developing international mobility, cooperation with European partners, work-based learning opportunities and the exchange of innovative practices in strategic fields such as cybersecurity, data analysis, digital technologies and ICT.
The programme will include:
– introduction to Erasmus Days and the Erasmus+ Programme;
– presentation of past European and international experiences;
– testimonials from students and staff;
– focus on skills for the future, mobility and European opportunities;
– presentation of the Institute’s future internationalisation objectives;
– focus on the experimental 4+2 pathway in Cybersecurity and Big Data;

The initiative aims to connect the experience already developed by the school with its future European ambitions, encouraging the entire school community to see internationalisation as an integral part of education, vocational training and professional development.
Europe starts here: from past experiences to new skills, new opportunities and new European perspectives.
