Erasmus Days 2026

Europe on the Move – Learning Together, Shaping the Future

What does the European Union have to do with our vocational training and everyday working lives? What opportunities does it offer young people to learn and gain experience across borders? Our interactive workshop at the Berufsbildungszentrum für Fahrzeugtechnik, Eisenbahn und Fahrbetrieb in Munich explores these questions as part of ErasmusDays 2026.

The workshop welcomes students from the school’s vocational programmes, particularly railway and public transport operations, vehicle technology, vehicle body construction, and tyre and vulcanisation technology. Through a Europe quiz, group activities and discussions, participants explore how European cooperation shapes their everyday lives and future careers. Examples from transport, technology and sustainable mobility connect the topics directly to their training.

A key focus is on the opportunities offered by Erasmus+. Students discover how supported learning periods and work placements abroad can broaden their career prospects, improve language skills and develop independence and intercultural understanding. The workshop also introduces Europamobil as an example of European exchange in practice, bringing Europe into schools through encounters and workshops with international university students.

Reflecting this year’s theme, “Learning and growing: skills for tomorrow”, students develop their own ideas for their future in Europe. The workshop aims to strengthen their connection to the European Union, create space for questions and different perspectives, and encourage them to explore European learning opportunities and take an active role in society.
