Erasmus+ mobility VET – competition

The workshop will focus on preparing a group of gastronomy and tourism VET students at Secondary technical and vocational school Zreče, School center Slovenske Konjice-Zreče,  for the Barista competition in Omiš, Croatia in November 2026, in which they will compete in two categories:

Category 1: Coffee-based alcoholic cocktail

Category 2: Latte Art – 2 symbols

During the workshop, students will practise the skills needed for both competition categories. They will work on the preparation and presentation of a coffee-based cocktail, as well as practise different latte art techniques and the creation of two selected symbols. The preparation will also include discussion about the competition, teamwork, organisation of work, presentation of the final products and communication in an international environment.

The mentor will guide the students during the practical activities, provide feedback and help them improve their techniques and presentation.

The workshop will combine practical training, demonstration, teamwork and discussion. In addition to professional barista skills, the activity will prepare students for the international experience and encourage self-confidence, creativity, communication and cooperation within the Erasmus+ mobility.
