“Mission Europe: The Future Skills Challenge” is an interactive ErasmusDays activity designed to develop students’ 21st-century skills through five team-based missions.
Working in small groups, students rotate through five challenge stations focused on communication, teamwork, critical thinking, decision-making, problem-solving and creativity. Each mission places students in a practical situation connected to international learning and cooperation.
In “Lost in Europe”, students use English to solve a real-life travel communication problem. In “The Impossible Team”, they distribute responsibilities fairly and solve a teamwork challenge. In “Fact or Fake?”, students evaluate information and practise digital literacy. In “The €1000 Challenge”, they plan an international student programme by making budget decisions and setting priorities. In “School of 2035”, students design a future school including ideas related to digital learning, sustainability, student wellbeing and international cooperation.
The activity encourages students to learn by doing rather than by listening to a traditional presentation. Through teamwork and short presentations, participants practise the skills needed to take an active role in international projects and Erasmus+ activities.
The main message of the event is: Think • Communicate • Collaborate • Solve • Create.
