Erasmus+ Day: Words, Myths, Legends and Friendship through Play and Movement
On 14 October 2026, Hinko Smrekar Primary School will celebrate Erasmus+ Day with activities exploring words, myths, legends and friendship through play and movement. On this day, our school will also open its doors to invited guests, offering an opportunity to experience our Erasmus+ activities and international cooperation.
During this week, we will be hosting pupils from Germany, Hungary and Bulgaria, who will take an active part in the celebrations alongside our pupils. Their participation will bring different languages, stories and cultural perspectives into our school, creating opportunities for intercultural learning and new friendships.
Throughout the day, pupils, teachers and invited guests will take part in interactive workshops, storytelling, cooperative games and movement activities. By exploring myths and legends from different cultures, participants will discover shared values and learn how stories can connect people across languages and borders.
The activities will encourage creativity, teamwork and communication, while providing opportunities to build friendships and learn from one another. Through play and movement, participants will experience the importance of inclusion, mutual respect and cooperation.
The event aims to share our Erasmus+ experiences, celebrate cultural diversity and highlight how international cooperation enriches everyday school life. It will also promote reading and storytelling as enjoyable ways to develop understanding and bring people together.
We look forward to celebrating Erasmus+ Day together and discovering how words, stories, play and movement can create lasting connections!
