Europe through our L.E.N.S. is an interactive activity connected to our Erasmus+ project L.E.N.S. (Learning Environments through New Spaces).
Students will visit the House of European History and the Parlamentarium in Brussels to explore European history, identity, democracy and shared European values. Through interactive activities and a specially designed observation task, they will be encouraged to observe, discover, discuss and reflect on values such as democracy, equality, human dignity, freedom, diversity, solidarity and cooperation. Throughout the visit, students will also use photography as a tool for observation and reflection, creating a shared “Europe through our L.E.N.S.” photo collection. Each student or group will select an image that represents a European value or an aspect of European identity and accompany it with a short reflection explaining their choice. The activity celebrates Erasmus Days while also preparing students for their upcoming Erasmus+ mobilities where they will continue to explore how European values, inclusion, participation and sustainability are reflected in different schools and communities.
