Missing the Point: One Year Later

One year after the youth exchange “Missing the Point: A Fight Against Misinformation”, held in Nea Sermyli, Halkidiki, the informal youth group Initiatives for Change will organise an Erasmus Days event to present the exchange and its results. The presentation will be led by Maria Hatzidionysiou, the project’s initiator and trainer. Young people who took part in the exchange will be invited, alongside the wider youth community.

The event will share the project’s learning on how misinformation can create public confusion, damage reputations and lead to decisions based on inaccurate information. It will also explore practical ways to find reliable information, check claims and stay safer online, including when facing health, racist or political misinformation and online fraud. Through the presentation and discussion, young people will reflect on why digital literacy matters and how they can use what they learned in everyday life.
