Shaping the future of Industrial Symbiosis: the INSET Observatory and Policy Brief

Industrial symbiosis is one of the most concrete ways circular economy principles are entering industrial production today, turning one company’s waste, energy or by-product into another’s resource. But making it happen requires more than good intentions: it takes people equipped with the right skills, tools and networks.
This event, organised within the Erasmus+ KA2 project INSET – INDUSTRIAL SYMBIOSIS FOR ENTERPRISES AND TRAINING, as part of Erasmus Days 2026, is designed for students, researchers, experts and young professionals who want to explore how sustainability and competitiveness can go hand in hand, and who are interested in building a career as a professional who supports businesses and territories in adopting sustainable development drivers in practice.
