“Pick up the Future with Erasmus+”
As part of Erasmus Days 2026, we would like to organise an event under the slogan “Pick up the Future with Erasmus+”. The main aim is to show that although our school has not had the opportunity to participate in the Erasmus+ programme in recent years, we are very interested in taking part in the future and would like to take our first step towards international cooperation and Europe.
The event will consist of an interactive exhibition entitled “Europe Starts Here” and an Oxford debate.
The exhibition will present the opportunities offered by Erasmus+ and the skills that young people need for the future. Its central element will be a map of Europe featuring selected countries, their cultures, languages, schools and youth life. Students will be encouraged to think about where they would like to go and what they could learn from such an experience.
The exhibition will also encourage students to reflect on the question: “What do we need to know, what skills do we need, and what do we need to be brave enough to do to be ready for an international adventure?” It will focus on future skills such as communication, teamwork, creativity, language skills, independence and openness to other cultures.
An Oxford debate will be an integral part of the event. Students will discuss topics related to education, international cooperation and the skills needed for the future.
The whole event will show that Erasmus+ can be an important next step in our school’s development and an opportunity to open up to international cooperation. We (current students) may not have our own Erasmus+ experiences yet, but we have the motivation, curiosity and willingness to create them.
“These are not our memories yet. They are possible stories of our future.”
