Union of Women Associations of Heraklion Prefecture

Meeting Presentation

As part of the Erasmus Days 2026 activities, Union of Women Associations of Heraklion Prefecture (UWAH) will deliver a 15-minute presentation during an event organised in collaboration with the organisation Σφυρίχτρα-Sfirichtra in Thessaloniki on 17 October 2026.

Two UWAH staff members who have participated in Erasmus+ mobilities will present the main objectives of the project “Bridges of Cooperation: Transnational Approaches to Gender Equality and Empowerment” and share key learning outcomes and good practices gained through four mobility activities:

Training on Conflict Management and Mediation – Denmark
Job Shadowing on Multi-Agency Collaboration – Romania
Job Shadowing on Perpetrator Programme Implementation – Ireland
Job Shadowing on Family Justice Centres – Belgium

The presentation will highlight how international learning and the exchange of professional practices can strengthen UWAH’s work in supporting women and children, improving inter-agency cooperation and developing survivor-centred services. It will also promote the transfer of relevant knowledge and practices to the organisation and the wider professional community.

The activity will contribute to the dissemination of Erasmus+ project results, the visibility of staff mobility activities and the sharing of European experiences with partner organisations and event participants.
