Erasmus+ +έχεια (συνέχεια)/ Erasmus+ +echeia (synecheia)

The “+echeia” event is an innovative experiential initiative connecting Sports, Physical Activity, and Soft Skills with Basic Literacy and Mathematics. Through playful sports stations, team activities, movement-based games, and rhythmic group actions (flashmob), students build teamwork, emotional resilience, strategic thinking, and a commitment to lifelong physical activity. Aligned with Erasmus Days 2026 and the European Union of Skills strategy, active play is transformed into a vibrant “living lab for skills and learning”.
Main Event (Ilia Regional Unit):
The flagship main event will take place in the Regional Unit of Ilia, featuring the active participation of preschools/kindergartens that are members of the INFANT project (Interactive Fun Activities in Kindergarten Training), implemented under the auspices of the Regional Directorate of Education of Western Greece.
Satellite Events & Open Participation across Western Greece:
Alongside the main event, parallel satellite events can be autonomously organized by any school unit that wishes to participate within their own school premises. Participation is free and open to all educational levels (Preschools, Primary, Lower, and Upper Secondary Schools) across all Regional Units of Western Greece.
💡 The Symbolism Behind “+echeia” & the Future of Erasmus+:
The title “+echeia” is a deep, symbolic wordplay inspired by the Ancient Greek word “συνέχεια” (synecheia).
• Ancient Etymology & “The Whole” (To Olon): Etymologically derived from the prefix syn- (together) and the verb echo (to hold, to support, to contain), synecheia originally denoted the unifying force that holds distinct elements tightly together so they maintain their cohesion and form a unified Whole (To Olon). In ancient philosophy, it represents an unbroken flow where every moment holds the previous one and fuels the next.
• Added Value (+): By substituting the prefix syn- with the mathematical plus sign (+), the title highlights added value (+): it unifies mind, body, and skills into a balanced personality, while creating a seamless bridge connecting early childhood education to all subsequent stages of lifelong learning.
• Institutional Continuity: As we approach the conclusion of the 2021–2027 programming period, European leadership has already signaled the official continuation and substantial expansion of Erasmus+ into the new 2028–2034 cycle. The “+echeia” festival celebrates this ongoing European commitment, ensuring that investment in education, youth, sports, and well-being remains an unbroken chain of growth for future generations.
Το Φεστιβάλ «+έχεια» αποτελεί μια πρωτοποριακή βιωματική πρωτοβουλία που συνδέει τον Αθλητισμό, την Κίνηση και τις Οριζόντιες Δεξιότητες (Soft Skills) με τον Στοιχειώδη Γραμματισμό και τα Μαθηματικά. Μέσα από παιγνιώδεις αθλητικούς σταθμούς, ομαδικά αθλήματα, κινητικά παιχνίδια και ρυθμικές δράσεις (flashmob), οι μαθητές/τριες καλλιεργούν τη συνεργασία, τη συναισθηματική ανθεκτικότητα και τη στρατηγική σκέψη. Στο πλαίσιο των Erasmus Days 2026 και της ευρωπαϊκής στρατηγικής Union of Skills, το παιχνίδι μετατρέπεται σε ένα ζωντανό «εργαστήριο μάθησης και ζωής».
Κεντρική Δράση (Νομός Ηλείας):
Το κεντρικό (μητρικό) event θα πραγματοποιηθεί στο Νομό Ηλείας, με τη δυναμική συμμετοχή των Νηπιαγωγείων που είναι μέλη του ευρωπαϊκού έργου INFANT (Interactive Fun Activities in Kindergarten Training project) της ΠΔΕΔΕ.
Θυγατρικές Δράσεις & Ελεύθερη Συμμετοχή Σχολείων:
Παράλληλα με την κεντρική εκδήλωση, θα υλοποιηθούν θυγατρικά events, παρέχοντας τη δυνατότητα ελεύθερης συμμετοχής σε όσες σχολικές μονάδες το επιθυμούν στα ίδια τα σχολεία τους. Η δράση απευθύνεται σε όλες τις εκπαιδευτικές βαθμίδες (Νηπιαγωγεία, Δημοτικά, Γυμνάσια, Λύκεια) σε ολόκληρη την Περιφέρεια Δυτικής Ελλάδας.
💡 Η Συμβολική Σημασία της Λέξης «+έχεια» & η Συνέχεια του Erasmus+:
Ο τίτλος «+έχεια» αποτελεί ένα βαθύ γλωσσικό και φιλοσοφικό παίγνιο με τη λέξη «συνέχεια»:
• Αρχαία Ετυμολογία & το «Όλον»: Στην αρχαία ελληνική γλώσσα, η λέξη παράγεται από την πρόθεση σύν και το ρήμα ἔχω (συγκρατώ, στηρίζω, περιέχω). Εκφράζει τη δύναμη που κρατά τα επιμέρους στοιχεία σφιχτά ενωμένα, ώστε να διατηρούν τη συνοχή τους και να συγκροτούν ένα αρμονικό Όλον. Στην αριστοτελική φιλοσοφία, το «συνεχές» ορίζεται ως μια αδιάσπαστη ροή όπου κάθε στιγμή στηρίζεται στην προηγούμενη και τροφοδοτεί την επόμενη.
• Προστιθέμενη Αξία (+): Αντικαθιστώντας το συν- με το σύμβολο (+), αναδεικνύεται το «παραπάνω» εφόδιο (+): η συγκρότηση της προσωπικότητας του μαθητή μέσα από τη σύνδεση πνεύματος, σώματος και δεξιοτήτων, καθώς και η ομαλή μετάβαση από το Νηπιαγωγείο σε όλες τις επόμενες βαθμίδες της εκπαίδευσης.
• Θεσμική Συνέχεια του Erasmus+: Καθώς οδεύουμε προς την ολοκλήρωση της προγραμματικής περιόδου 2021–2027, η Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή έχει δώσει το σύνθημα για τη θεσμική διεύρυνση του προγράμματος Erasmus+ στη νέα περίοδο 2028–2034. Η «+έχεια» γιορτάζει αυτή τη διαρκή ευρωπαϊκή δέσμευση, επιβεβαιώνοντας ότι η επένδυση στη νεολαία, την εκπαίδευση, τον αθλητισμό και την ευεξία αποτελεί μια αδιάσπαστη αλυσίδα προόδου για το μέλλον.
