Building Europe’s Future Skills: Erasmus+ Projects Driving Digital, Green and Social Innovation

On the occasion of Erasmus Days 2026, Finnova Foundation will organise an event showcasing the Erasmus+ projects in which it is currently involved, highlighting the programme’s contribution to developing the skills needed to address Europe’s key challenges, including digital transformation, sustainability, cybersecurity, mental well-being, occupational safety and social inclusion.

The event will bring together representatives from European institutions, public authorities, educational organisations, businesses, civil society and young people to exchange best practices and explore new opportunities for cooperation through six Erasmus+ projects:

CyberHealthY – A project promoting young people’s mental well-being and healthy digital habits by strengthening the capacity of youth workers to support safe and responsible participation in digital environments.

CYBERSKILLS – A project designed to equip young people with cybersecurity skills through innovative training methodologies, including digital learning tools and practical approaches, helping to bridge the growing cybersecurity skills gap in Europe.

5G-DiGITs – A project focused on developing advanced digital skills related to 5G and next-generation technologies, fostering cooperation between vocational education, higher education and industry to prepare learners for the digital economy.

GUARD – A project aimed at improving safety in fishing ports through specialised training, digital learning resources and the exchange of best practices to reduce workplace accidents and enhance operational safety.

C-SUSTAIN – A project supporting the development of green skills and sustainable entrepreneurship by promoting circular economy principles, digital innovation and sustainability-oriented education.

RAICES – A project promoting the revitalisation of indigenous craftsmanship in Colombia and Peru through vocational education, entrepreneurship, sustainability and international cooperation, empowering local communities while preserving their cultural heritage.

The event will demonstrate the tangible impact of the Erasmus+ Programme in preparing citizens and professionals for the challenges of the future while fostering collaboration among European institutions, education providers, businesses and civil society organisations. It will also provide an opportunity to strengthen partnerships, exchange experiences and raise awareness of the role of Erasmus+ in supporting a more resilient, inclusive and competitive Europe.
