Exhibition Open house

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Erasmus Days, VHS Salzburg will host an engaging exhibition from October 12-17, 2026, designed to make the spirit and opportunities of the Erasmus+ program visible to the public.

Our building will be transformed into a gallery, showcasing over 20 large-format illustrations. The exhibition will be thematically structured, with each floor dedicated to a core pillar of the European experience:

Learning & Exchange: Highlighting opportunities like job shadowing, language learning, and cultural workshops.
Mobility & Travel: Inspiring people to explore new countries, cities, and cultures.
Democracy & Community: Focusing on civic engagement, diversity, and working together for a common cause.
Each illustration will be paired with a short, thought-provoking text, much like an art description in a museum, to underline the value of these projects. To foster engagement, we will incorporate interactive elements, such as asking visitors questions (“What is your favorite word in another language?”) and providing pinboards or a large map of Europe for them to mark their answers and dream destinations.

QR codes on the posters will provide direct links to concrete Erasmus+ opportunities and related courses offered by our institution. The visuals created for the exhibition will also be leveraged for a wider digital campaign. Our goal is to present European success stories in a creative, accessible, and interactive way, encouraging visitors to connect with the Erasmus+ program on a personal level.
