INIS – Praxisworkshop

Building on the Erasmus+ sport project INIS (International Networking for Inclusive Sport Events) and the subsequent ‘INIS travel&learn’ mobility programme, we will spend two days focusing intensively on inclusive sport events. The guide to ‘Inclusion at Sport Events’ from the INIS project serves as our basis. Members of the ‘Sport for All Event Team’ from Vienna and Carinthia will meet with members from Styria in Graz. There, our members – both full-time staff and participants with various disabilities – will receive intensive training based on the INIS project’s guide, enabling them to carry out the inclusion checks offered by “Sport for All” even more effectively. As part of this, we will attend professional sporting events as mystery guests to assess their organisation from an inclusion perspective. We subsequently provide the organisers with a report on our visit, including suggested measures that would lead to the further development of their inclusion practices. As examples of this, we have already worked on several occasions with the Austrian Football Association and with the ATP tennis tournament ‘Erste Bank Open’.
