WE Workshops Edu in collaboration with the Μunicipality of Nea Ionia
As part of Erasmus Days 2026, WE_WorkshopsEdu, in collaboration with the Municipality of Nea Ionia, proposes the implementation of Nea Ionia Tells Its Story: An Interactive Journey Through Memory, Culture and European Values — an experiential activity combining local history, non-formal education, technology and play. Participants, working in small teams, will follow an interactive cultural route through Nea Ionia, starting from the ISAP Railway Station, using QR codes to discover stories, photographs, testimonies and challenges that will guide them from one location to the next. The route will highlight the city’s refugee heritage, cultural identity and lesser-known stories, transforming participants from passive visitors into active explorers of its history. The experience will conclude with a final team challenge, presenting Nea Ionia itself as a living cultural treasure and connecting local memory with the values of Erasmus Days: cooperation, participation, cultural exchange and European coexistence.
