ARADIPPOU MUNICIPALITY
Aradippou Municipality is taking part in Erasmus Days 2026 with the two-day event “Skills in Motion: Sport, Stories and Inclusion”, inviting children, young people, families, schools, organised groups and the wider public to a celebration of learning, creativity and cooperation.
The event will take place on 13 and 14 October 2026 at the ATHLIN Model Sports Library, in Apostolos Loukas Square, Aradippou, as part of the European Erasmus Days initiative and the “Union of Skills” theme. It aims to highlight how sport, storytelling and creative expression can develop valuable life skills while strengthening participation and social inclusion.
Sport, creativity and cooperation
Participants will take part in sporting activities, cooperative games and creative workshops designed to strengthen communication, teamwork, discipline, respect, creative thinking and fair play.
At the same time, creative-writing and book-making workshops will introduce them to the main stages of the publishing process — from the initial idea to illustration and publication. Working in mixed groups, they will create a collective book featuring stories, drawings and messages inspired by friendship, cooperation, diversity, European values and sport as a means of social inclusion.
A lasting educational legacy
Activities will be delivered in both Greek and English, encouraging intercultural communication, inclusion and equal participation. The collective book created during the event will become part of the ATHLIN Foundation Sports Library collection, leaving a lasting educational and cultural legacy for the local community.Connection with Erasmus+
The initiative reflects key Erasmus+ priorities by promoting non-formal learning, youth participation, inclusion, cooperation among local organisations, and the development of social, creative and transferable skills through sport, culture and active engagement in the local community.
To deliver the event, Aradippou Municipality is working with the Aradippou Handball Team on the sporting activities and with the ATHLIN Foundation on the creative-writing and book-making workshops, with the participation of a guest author.
