“Walls do not keep a city standing; it is the hearts that protect it.” Built 800 years ago, the monumental Kızılkule protected our city from external threats for centuries. Today, our new protectors are those who safeguard our nature and future. Organized by the Alanya Municipality Cleanliness Affairs Directorate, this special protocol event celebrates the harmony between “Cultural Heritage” and “Green Erasmus” goals. Within the historical alcoves of the 800-year-old tower, a sepia-toned photography exhibition will be held on wooden easels, showcasing the exemplary domestic waste management systems of 5 leading hotels. During the event, our local decision-makers will present special wooden plaques to these 5 hotel managers for their outstanding dedication to sustainability. Accompanied by traditional Alanya almond lemonade, this gathering highlights the crucial collaboration between local government and the private sector in building a greener, zero-waste Europe while deeply respecting our historical roots.
