Assessment for Learning: Turning Strategy into Measurable Student Growth’ explores Assessment for Learning (AfL) as a transformative pedagogical approach that strengthens learner progress, motivation, and metacognitive development.
The course focuses on practical formative assessment strategies, effective use of learning intentions and success criteria, meaningful feedback practices, and structured evidence collection. Participants examine how assessment practices influence learner agency, professional dialogue, and whole-school improvement.
The programme combines structured interactive training with guided school-based observation. Through structured observation in host schools, participants analyse how formative assessment strategies are implemented in authentic classroom settings, including feedback dialogues, peer assessment routines, and documentation systems.
By the end of the week, participants develop a realistic and context-sensitive action plan for embedding Assessment for Learning within their own institution.
This 5-day training course can be funded by your organisation’s Erasmus+ KA1 programme.
