Erasmus Day 2026 – Barcsi Széchényi

Our Erasmus Day will be a full-day celebration of international experiences, learning, cooperation and the opportunities Erasmus+ brings to our school community.

10:45–12:25 | Erasmus for Students

The morning programme will involve all students of the school during the 4th and 5th lessons. Students will participate in two 45-minute sessions.

Session 1 – Erasmus Stories: From Barcs to Europe
Students who took part in our three group mobilities during the previous school year will share their experiences from Italy, Spain and Slovakia. Instead of formal presentations, the sessions will focus on personal stories, memorable moments, cultural experiences, challenges and what students gained from taking part in an Erasmus+ mobility.

Session 2 – Erasmus Mission: Europe Without Borders
Students will work in small groups within their classes on a creative Erasmus challenge. They may design their dream Erasmus mobility, create a mini “Why Erasmus?” campaign, prepare an Erasmus Survival Guide, or come up with ideas for how international experiences can make our school more open, active and European. Selected groups will briefly present their ideas.

12:25–13:30 | Lunch Break

13:30–16:30 | Erasmus+ Teachers’ Forum – Learn, Share, Inspire

The afternoon will focus on professional development and knowledge sharing. Teachers who participated in Erasmus+ training courses will share the most useful ideas, methods and good practices they brought back to our school.

The programme will include eight short, practical presentations of approximately 15–20 minutes each, with an emphasis on ideas that colleagues can immediately adapt to their own teaching practice.

Teachers from other schools in the region who are interested in Erasmus+ opportunities will also be warmly invited to join the afternoon programme, exchange experiences and build new professional connections.

Evening | Erasmus Around Europe Party

The day will end with an informal Erasmus Party in the school dormitory. Students will celebrate Europe through music, food, games and team challenges. Different teams can represent European countries, and the evening may include a European music quiz, an Erasmus photo challenge, country-themed snacks and a fun “Around Europe” competition.

The aim of Erasmus Day is to show that even a small school on the border can be part of the heart of Europe – connected through people, experiences, learning and opportunities.
