14 Anniversary – 14 European Countries Anniversary Trail

Last year Class 9a created infographics on 14 anniversaries in 2026 in international groups with Spanish, Italian, Roman and Turkish students during the eTwinning project: REALISE. These anniversaries form the 14 Stations of the Anniversary Trail where the classes can collect information about the anniversaries and the countries linked to these anniversaries by completing the Challenges at the Stations. The aim of the activity is to extend the Anniversary Map with a corresponding country by justifying the relationship and to arrange the anniversaries into a timeline.
During the activity students discover the interconnectedness of European cultures rather than learn isolated facts, which reinforces the message that innovation, culture and values spread across borders. Although the classes compete against each other, within the classes students must cooperate, which partly mirrors how research groups work in reality.
