Conference Round table Testimonies

The “Towards the European Apprenticeship Area” event, organised at the Sorbonne on 15 October 2026 by Euro App Mobility under the high patronage of the President of the Republic, in conjunction with the Ministry of Labour, the Secrétariat général pour l’investissement (SGPI) and the European Commission, is fully in line with this dynamic. Drawing on the lessons learned from the Mona pilot programme, it aims to mobilise institutional, economic and educational stakeholders around shared objectives, and to formulate proposals for action to remove the barriers that still limit the deployment of long-term mobility. By bringing together public decision-makers, social partners, training networks and committed businesses, this event seeks to support the concrete implementation of European priorities in the field of VET, based on the recognition of skills and broader access to mobility for apprentices from all Member States. The event’s ambitions are to:

– demonstrate that long-term apprentice mobility is achievable and ready for large-scale deployment;
highlight its direct contribution to skills development, the emergence of talent, business competitiveness, economic growth and European values;
– pave the way for a genuine European Apprenticeship Area.
