What Safe Sport Looks Like to Me

RISE is an Erasmus+ Sport Program unded 36-month project tackling sexual violence in sports through awareness, education, and prevention, empowering communities to act, protect, and rise above abuse across Europe.

Event format: A symbolic community walk (1–3 km) through a public space — park, stadium, or campus — with 5 “Awareness Stations” along the route. At each station:

Hear a survivor/ally story (audio or live)
Complete a myth-busting quiz on sexual violence in sport
Co-create a mural/banner: “What Safe Sport Looks Like to Me”
Learn & practice 1 bystander intervention phrase
Sign the “RISE Pledge” for zero tolerance in sport
Ends with a circle of reflection, shared silence or spoken commitment, and group photo with #RISEWalk #RISEmpowered banners.
