Dr. Don McKenzie’s conference

Dr. Don McKenzie, retired professor from the University of British Columbia in Canada, is coming to Szeged, Hungary to celebrate the 30th anniversary of his groundbreaking research in the field of sports and breast cancer recovery.
You’ll have the opportunity to meet him and the inspiring women who have been paddling since their recovery from the disease.
Dr. Don founded the world’s first Breast Cancer Survivor Dragon Boat team, and since then, he has helped establish many similar teams around the globe, including here in Szeged.
Come and meet him, along with Hungary’s first BCS team, and feel the power of activity, care, support, and enthusiasm!

A Szegedi Sárkányhajó Egyesület az Erasmus+ sportpályázata kapcsán ismerkedett meg különböző rehabilitációs lehetőségekkel. Így kerültünk kapcsolatba Dr Don McKenzievel, aki a mellrákkal érintettek edzésprogramjának szülőatyja.
A professzor úr a kanadai British Coulmbia egyetem orvostudományi szakorvosa, akinek a szakterülete az izmok terhelhetősége, a teljesítmény fokozása. 10 olimpián volt a kanadi kenu csapat sportorvosa. 30 éves kutatómunkája eredményét osztja meg velünk ezen a csodálatos héten.
