ERASMUS DAYS MAKE EUROPE SHINE
During the Erasmus Days, taking place between the 12th and the 17th October 2026, all those involved in the Erasmus+ programme are invited to organise an event (digital and/or physical). These events may take various forms, such as seminars to share best practices, multilingual sessions to improve conversation skills, photo exhibitions to illustrate mobility experiences, conferences to promote intercultural opportunities, or social media challenges to simply encourage engagement and creativity.
This year, the 10th edition of Erasmus Days highlights skills, with the tagline: “Learning and growing: skills for tomorrow”, in alignment with the Union of Skills initiative. At a time when Europe is undergoing profound transformations through green and digital transitions, skills are more than ever the driving force behind innovation, resilience, and competitiveness. Led by the European Commission, the Union of Skills aims to strengthen the quality of education, training, and lifelong learning by investing in what matters the most: people.
At the heart of this dynamic, the Erasmus+ programme broadens horizons, enabling everyone to develop their potential in an international environment. The 10th edition of the Erasmus Days will be an opportunity to celebrate the impact of Erasmus+ and to show how it contributes to building the knowledge and talents of tomorrow.
This edition will focus in particular on:
- the importance of basic skills (literacy, mathematics, science, digital, citizenship), essential for thriving in a rapidly changing world;
- digital education, which has become indispensable for understanding today’s challenges, acting effectively, and innovating in increasingly connected societies;
- teachers and trainers, who play a key role in developing and passing on these skills;
- cooperation between institutions, which is a key lever for sharing best practices, strengthening expertise, and collectively addressing tomorrow’s challenges.
