The event “The Digital Traces of Craftsmanship” is organized within the scope of the Erasmus+ KA210 project “Digital Transformation of Cultural Motifs”, coordinated by Artvin Public Education Center (Türkiye) in partnership with CEREHIS – Centrum pre religionistiku a historické štúdiá (Slovakia).
This innovative event aims to introduce master trainers and educators to the digital world, bridging traditional craftsmanship and modern technology. For the first time in Artvin, Virtual Reality (VR) technology is used to showcase local and Slovak patented cultural motifs in an interactive virtual museum environment.
Through conferences, workshops, and digital training sessions, participants will explore how handmade cultural elements can be transformed into digital assets using 3D modeling, VR integration, and web-based platforms. The event highlights the importance of adapting cultural heritage to the digital age, ensuring that traditional skills and local creativity continue to thrive in international contexts.
In addition, an international website has been created to promote local artisans’ work and support cross-border employment opportunities, allowing Artvin’s unique cultural products to reach a global audience.
This project not only preserves cultural identity but also empowers educators and artisans to become active creators in the digital era, combining innovation with tradition.
Artvin Public Education Center proudly invites you to experience this journey where culture meets technology, and craftsmanship meets the future.
