International Campfire Night

As part of the Erasmus Days 2025, the Faculty of Physical Culture at Palacký University Olomouc is organizing an International Campfire Night — an informal, community-building event designed to celebrate international cooperation, intercultural exchange, and the spirit of Erasmus+.

The event aims to bring together Erasmus+ incoming students, Czech students and faculty staff in a relaxed outdoor setting to foster cross-cultural dialogue, strengthen social bonds, and enhance the sense of belonging among participants.

Through traditional Czech campfire activities — including singing, storytelling, and roasting local specialties such as špekáčky (sausages) — participants will experience a piece of Czech culture while sharing their own traditions and experiences from abroad.

Objectives:
Strengthen intercultural understanding and inclusion among students.
Promote Erasmus+ values in an informal, engaging way.
Provide networking opportunities for both international and local students.
Create a welcoming community environment outside the academic setting.

Target Group:
Erasmus+ and other international students studying at the Faculty of Physical Culture, Czech students interested in internationalization, and faculty members supporting international mobility.

Expected Outcomes:
Increased interaction between Czech and international students.
Greater awareness of cultural diversity and inclusion within the faculty community.
Enhanced visibility of Erasmus+ and its impact on university life.
