From community to community: Sharing Lullabies Across Generations

As part of the Erasmus Days celebration, this event highlights the Erasmus+ KA2 Adult Education project coordinated by Viksjöforsbaletten (Sweden), in partnership with Asociația Portal pentru Comunitate (Romania) and Amused (Cyprus).

The project focuses on preserving and sharing traditional lullabies — songs of care and comfort passed down through generations. Senior members of the community share these gentle melodies and the stories behind them with young parents and educators, helping to keep cultural heritage alive in modern families.

During the event, participants will experience an example of good practice from community to community, showcasing how local traditions can strengthen intergenerational and intercultural connections.

Together, we will explore how a simple song — a lullaby — can bridge generations, nurture empathy, and celebrate Europe’s shared cultural diversity.
