Digital Detox is a practice that aims to protect mental and emotional health by consciously distancing ourselves from technological devices. Constant notifications, screen time, and social media anxiety can unknowingly drain our energy.
So, should we completely distance ourselves from digital technologies?
Instead of completely distancing ourselves from digital technologies, whose primary purpose is to make our lives easier, and ignoring them altogether, we can engage in a “digital detox.” This means limiting our use of technology or staying away from it for a while so we can make the most of our time. The goal of a digital detox is to minimize the problems caused by digital technologies. This way, we can spend more time with ourselves and our surroundings, pursue hobbies we’ve been interested in but haven’t had time for, complete unfinished tasks, or simply relax.
So, what can we do for digital detox?
1. You can limit screen time during the day.
2. You can replace digital activities with physical activities.
3. You can spend time in nature.
4. You can reduce screen use before bed.
5. You can increase face-to-face communication.
6. Sometimes you need to go offline to refresh your mind.
