JOBRA Education

As part of the Erasmus Days 2025 celebrations, the professional dance students of 11ºIDC from ART’J will present a striking site-specific performance inspired by “The Grand Step Project”, originally created by acclaimed choreographer and performer Stephan Koplowitz.
Co-created by Prof. Anita Alves, this reinterpretation takes place across three architectural locations at Jobra Educação, where staircases serve as the central scenic and symbolic element. These often-overlooked spaces are reimagined through dance, transforming daily architecture into a stage for artistic expression.
The performers explore walking, running, and jumping — generating momentum, tension, and connection between bodies and spaces. The choreography invites the audience to see their surroundings anew, as dancers bring movement, rhythm, and energy to unexpected places.
Blending technique, creativity, and site-awareness, the piece embodies the Erasmus+ spirit by promoting collaboration, innovation, and cultural dialogue through the arts.
